[126] Monday afternoon Jan. 28, 1822 [1822 Jan. 28] [Petition committed] The Petition of the Committee of the Town of Otisfield praying for an abatement of their State taxes committed in the House to the Committee on New Trials came up for concurrence. Read and committed to the same committee in concurrence with the House.

[Report on petition] Mr. Dennett from the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals reported that Samuel Bean and others have leave to bring in a Bill for incorporation of a Canal company in Brownfield &c. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. came up concurred

[Com. Pleas Bill -] The Bill entitled "An Act to establish a Court of Common Pleas" - reported by the Committee of the whole Senate with amendments, was read and committed to Messrs. Bond and Holland to be taken into a new draft. +

The Senate adjourned.

+ Resolve providing for the promulgation and distribution of the Laws and Resolves which are or may be passed by the present legislature, being found truly engrossed was passed.
