[Letter from Treasurer of State] The following letter was received grin the Treasurer elect - “Treasury Department - 14 Jan. 1822 To the Hon, the President of the Senate - Sir - Having received official notice of my being Treasurer of the State agreeably to the Constitution, it is necessary that I should signify my acceptance or non acceptance of the office. The manner of my re election to the office as Treasurer, so flattering to my feelings, is proof of the confidence and appropriation of my conductor in the discharge of my official duties of the office which I duly acknowledge, and respectfully declare my acceptance. [Washington Academy] Mr Bond from the Committee to whom that subject was referred reported that the application against the Trustees of the Washington Academy be referred to the first Session of the next Legislature, and that the trustees be not required to appear at that time, without new notice, Read and accepted - sent down for concurrence - Came up concurred

[Fish inspection laws] The petition of David Stinson & others of Bath praying for alteration in the Act to provide for the packing and inspection of pickled and smoked fish - committed in the House to the Joint Committee before appointed on this subject, consisting of Messrs Balch, Ricker and Dyer on the part of the House was read and concurred - and Messrs O’Brien and Wheeler were joined on the part of the Senate.
