[1824] [January 13.] comittee in concurrence with the House;

[Petitions referred] The following Petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, came up for concurrence, viz:

Petition of Isaac Lane and others to be incorporated and styled "The Salmon Falls Bridge Proprietors"; Petition of Inhabitants of Montville requesting assistance to make a road passable to that place; Petition of Samuel Sillsbee & others to erect a Boom at Sunkhaze on the Penobscot river; Petition of Inhabitants of Sunkhaze to build a Bridge over Great Works Stream at the expense of the State; Petition of Frederick Howard and others for leave to erect a Canal on ten mile Brook in Brownfield; Petition of Moses Sleeper and others to be incorporated by the title of "East Pond Dam Company"; Petition of the town of Isleborough to have gates erected across a road leasing from one end of the Island to the other; Petition of Samuel Cook and others for a road to be opened from the upper settlement on the Schoodic River to the Bascahequan carrying place; and Petition of Moses R. Pulsifer and others to build a Bridge over Mount Desert narrows, and for a Lottery for that purpose; and Remonstrance of Committee of South Berwick against a petition for building a Bridge over Piscataqua River near Gould's Point; and Remonstrance of sundry Inhabitants of Brooksville against the Petition of John Hawes and others, to erect a Bridge and Dam at Davis' narrows; and they were severally referred to the same Com-
