153 [1823 January 23] [Report on Genl Fish Laws] Mr. Witham from the committee on Interior Fisheries, instructed to take into consideration the expediency of passing a general law for the preservation of fish, reported that it is inexpedient at this time to pass a general law upon that subject read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. came up concurred.

[Report on Petitions] Mr. Small from the Committee on the petition of John Glidden Lunt for liberty to extend his [wharff] in New Castle, reported that the petitioner, cause an attested copy of his petition with the order thereon to be published three weeks successively in the Lincoln Intelligence printed at Wiscasset, the last publication to be sixty days at least before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature; read, accepted & sent down for concurrence: came up concurred.

Mr. Small from the same committee, reported on the petition of John Maguire & others, that they have leave to withdraw their petitions, read accepted and sent down for concurrence: came up concurred.

Mr. Green from the committee, on the petition of Nahum Baldwin and others, reported that the petitioners cause an attested copy of their petition with the order thereon to be published in the Hallowell Advocate three weeks successively, the
