Bill granting a Lottery for the benefit of Canton Point Bridge was read a first time and tomorrow, 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
Resolve respecting a Gaol in Eastport, passed to be engorssed in the House, was read a second time and referred to the next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence.
Mr. Stebbins from the Committee to whom was referred the amendment of the Constitution of the United States, proposed by the General assembly of Tennessee, reported a Resolve against the amendment proposed, which was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
Petition of Amos Nichols, that certain fees may be remitted to him, was read and referred to Mssrs Green and Churchill with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence Came up concurred and Messrs Evans, Dyer and Willet were joined
