The following petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals, came up for concurrence, viz. Petition of James Paul & als. praying for permission to erect a Bridge across Spinney's Creek from Elliot to Kittery.

"of Samuel Thompson & als. for a Canal in Montville,

[Benja. Wiley et als]

[Rems. Jacob King]

"of Benja. Wiley & als. praying that the proprietors of the Bridge over Saco River in Fryeburg may be prevented from receiving toll; and the Remonstrance of Jacob King agst. the petition of Moses French and others; and they were severally read & referred to the same Committee in concurrence with the House.

On motion of Mr. O'Brien, Ordered that the petition of John Perham & others be taken from the files of the Senate and laid on the table; - Referred to the Joint Standing committee on New Trials - sent down for concurrence. -

[Papers relative to Academy in Dexter taken from files]

Order of the House that the Bill which passed the House at the last session for the establishment of an Academy in the town of Dexter, with the accompanying papers, be taken from the files of the Senate and sent down. - Read and concurred and the papers sent down. -

On motion of Mr. Witham, Ordered that the petition of Geo: Lord & als. be taken from the files and laid on the table - Referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Incorporation of Parishes & other religious Societies, ministerial and school lands. - Sent down for concurrence.
