207 [1823 January 30] [Bill to incorporate Milburn] Bill to incorporate the town of Milburn was read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House.

[Bill additional establishing S.J. Court] Bill additional to an act establishing a Supreme Judicial Court within this State, was postponed till tomorrow at ten oclock.

[Report on Petition] Mr. Wilson from the Committee on the petition of Jacob Oliver and others, reported that they have leave to bring in a Resolve; Read, accepted and sent won for concurrence.

[Message concerning adjournment] On motion of Mr. Green, ordered that a Message be sent to the House informing then that when the Senate adjourn, they propose to adjourn to nine oclock tomorrow morning.

[Order for the Bills granting a Lottery for Canal] Order of the House that the Senate be requested to take from their files and send down the Bill granting a lottery for the benefit of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal, with all accompanying papers, was read and concurred and the papers sent down.

[Resolve in favor of Josiah Hacker] Resolve in favor of Josiah Hacker passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, was read and refused passage.

[Message concerning the Resolve for admission of Attornies] A Message was sent to the House proposing an amendment in the engrossed Resolve authorizing the Court of Common Pleas & Supreme Judicial Court, to admit certain persons to practice in said Courts respectively be inserting the name of Charles O. Emerson in the fourth line of the Resolve, and
