45 Friday January 12 1827 Met according to adjournment.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing that all petitions to this Legislature having for their object the setting off of persons and estates from one town & annexing them to another town, be referred to the joint standing Committee on incorporation of Parishes &. - and the House concurred.

Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of raising the fees of Jurors - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Williams & Washburne, with such as the House may join, a committee, to consider and report by Resolve or otherwise, the time place and manner to be adopted by the Legislature in making choice of a Senator from this State in the Congress of the United States - and the House concurred & Messrs Shaw of Sanford, Carpenter of Howland & Cobb of Waterville were joined.

Communications were received from Alanson Mellen & Amos Patten Esq Counsellors elect, signifying their acceptance.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson their Secretary proposing a Convention of both House at 11' oclock this day for the purpose of qualifying Alanson Mellen & Amos Patten Esquires, Counsellors elect, to enter upon the duties of their office - and the House concurred and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith

Petition of Ingalls Bragg, that certain persons may be quieted upon their lands, was read & referd to the committee on State lands. Sent up for concurrence.
