My Dear Governor

I should apologize for writing you again so soon but I do it at the special request of Doct. McRuer Most of the leading men here are intere esting themselves for his appointment as Brigade Surgeon. Vict Hamlin departing puse his usual rule, has promised to write Vici a letter strongly rie recommending his appointment.
