Petition of James Bridges & als Directors of the Augusta Bank for authority to increase the Capital Stock of said bank, was read & referred to the committee on banks & banking in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to incorporate the Portland Saco & Parsonsfield Stage Company, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill additional to an act respecting Fisheries in the waters of Vinalhaven, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Ordered that the joint standing committee on the Judiciary be requested to take into consideration the propriety of repealing so much of an act entitled an act, for organizing & disciplining the Militia of the State of Maine, as makes it the duty of each town in said State to be constantly provided with a certain quantity of Gun power as mentioned in the 26 section of said act passed on the 21st of March 1821 - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Town of Trescott, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill additional act to the to the several acts to prevent the destruction of Fish in Dennys River & Pennamaquan - was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Resolve in favor of James Newhall, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed, Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Thomas Todd for a further allowance for services, was read & referred to Messrs Michell of Portland, Cobb of Durham & Fannsworth of Norridgewock with such as the Senate may join
