Report on Petition]

The joint committee on the Militia and Military affairs, on sundry petitions upon that subject, reported in the House that it is not advisable to take any further order thereon; which report having been accepted in the House, came up for concurrence: Read and concurred.

Bill to incorporate the Thomaston Temperate Society,” was read a 2d time and passed to be engrossed: sent down for cncurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied, viz.

Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Mill Dam Bridge,”

Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Martin’s Point Bridge,”

Bill in addition to an Act fo the relief of school districts in the towns of Freeman & Phillips,”

Bill to set off certain tracts of land, and certain persons with their estates, from the town of Shapleigh, and to annex the same to the town of Lebanon”,

Bill to incorporate the Maine Iron Company,”

Bill in addition to the several Acts for the preservation of fish in Penobscot River &c.,”

Bill in addition to an Act to incorporate the President, Directors & Co. of the Cumberland Bank,”

Bill granting to the Saco and Ossipee Log Navigation Company a certain right in Limington Bridge,”

Bill to incorporate the Brewer Meeting house Corporation”,

Bill authorizing the town of Gilead to build a toll Bridge over Wild River,” and

Bill to incorporate the Manufacturers Bank:”

and they were passed to be enacted. Also
