An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Churchill & Washburne with such as the House of Representatives may join a committee to take into consideration that part of the last report of the Treasurer of State, which relates to the time when the State shall commence payment of Interest on the Cumberland & Oxford Canal Fund borrowed by the State and whether it be proper that the Treasurer should file evidence of this debt ect and the House concurred and Messrs Swan of Portland, Twe of Poland & Curtis of Harpswell were joined

Bill authorizing a toll bridge on Fryeburg Canal was called up & referred to Messrs Davis of Augusta, Stevens of Woodstock & Heald of Lovell.

Ordered that the joint standing committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of making further provision by law for the education of deaf & dumb persons within this State ect read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Perkins of Topsham has leave of absence after today during the remainder of the session.

Resolve in favor of Abijah Wines & others, was read once & indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Bradford of Livermore has leave of absence after Wednesday & Mr Goodnow of Alfred after Saturday next, each, during the remainder of the session.
