[1827] [pet. plant no 7, 7th R.] Petition of the Inhabitants of Plantation No. 7 in the seventh Range to be incorporated into a town by the name of Abbot
[pet. Andrew Leach & al] “ of Andrew Leach and others of Prospect for a new county, and
[Rem. Tho. Eastman &al] Remonstrance of Thomas Eastman and others of Palermo against the establishment of a new county were severally read and in concurrence referred to the Committee on incorporation of towns.
[pet. Edw. Little & al] Petition of Edward Little and others of Danville to be annexed to Minot was read and in concurrence referred to the Committee on Parishes &c.
[Pet. Sam. Jacobs & al] Petition of Samuel Jacobs and others for repeal or alteration of the Law for the regulation of Innholders &c referred in the House to the Committee on the Judiciary came up for concurrence and the Senate nonconcur with the House in their reference & refer the same to the Joint Select Committee on that subject. Sent down for concurrence - Concurred -
[pet. Joseph. Clay & al] Petition of Joseph Clay and others of Bloomfield in favor of an appropriation for opening the Canada Road was read & in concurrence referred to the select Committee on that subject
[Pet. Jno. Gardiner & al] On motion by Mr Balham the petition of John Gardiner and others was taken from the files and referred to the Committee on Parishes &c, Sent down for concurrence - concurred.
[Bill - incorporate Trustees of Methodist Conference] Mr Francis from the Committee on Parishes &c, on the petition of David Kilborn and others reported, Bill to incorporate the Trustees of the Maine Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church,” and the same was read a first time and tomorrow 10 o’clock assigned for a second reading.
