4 [1824 January 7] On motion of Mr. Small, ordered that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to three O'clock P.M.

[order on Committees] On motion of Mr. Usher ordered that the Senate adopt as part of their Rules and Orders "that all Committees on the part of the Senate shall consist of three of the Members, and appointed by the President, except when the Committees are joined by the House of Representatives. Adjourned to 3 O'clk. P.M.

Afternoon [Seats] On motion of Mr. Dennett, ordered that Messrs. Dennett, Witham and Small be a Committee to consider and report in what manner the members of the Senate shall be seated at the Senate Board.
