Order of the House that Messrs. Wilkins, Crowell & McIntire with such as the Senate may join to be a committee to consider the expediency & practicability of providing by law a prompt and efficient method of enforcing the payment & collection of debts without imprisonment therefor, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise; came up for concurrence, was read & concurred, and Messrs. Morrell & Whitney were joined.

[Committee on subject of fees for inspecting Beef & Pork]

Order of the House that the Committee who have under consideration the subject of the law respecting butter & lard, be instructed to see what alterations, if any, are necessary in the inspection law, respecting the fees in putting up Beef & Pork, came up for concurrence, was read & concurred. -
