The House took up the consideration of the Resolve establishing the seat of Government and voted to adhere to their vote of the 9th instant adopting a new draft and ordering the same to be engrossed. Sent up.

Ordered that the committee on finance be instructed to inquire into the expediency of abating the taxes assessed on Thompson Pond Plantation, or of exempting said plantation from State & Country taxes as a remuneration for what they have been overtaxed for several years past - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the Resolve in favor of the town of Poland, that it ought not to pass, was recommitted in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Isaac Ilsley & als in behalf of the Mariners Church in Portland for aid, was referred to the committee on the incorporation of Parishes ect Sent up for concurrence.

Messrs Hetcher of Bingham and Knowles of Hampden have leave of absence after Saturday next during the remainder of the Session.
