176. Petitions of the town of Unity to be set off from Waldo to Kennebec - of sundry inhabitants of Burnham to have said town reannexed to Kennebec were severally referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns in concurrence with the Senate.

Messrs Watts of St George & Ames of Bath have leave of absence after Wednesday next, each, during the remainder of the session.

Message from the Governor.

To the Senate & House of Representatives I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a joint resolution of the Senate & House of Representatives of the State of Alabama, relative to a proposition for the emancipation of saves, and to a resolution of the Legislature of New Jersey recommending a system of foreign colonization, which I have been requested by the Governor of the former State, to lay before you.
