The committee on Banks & Banking to whom was referred the Report of the Commissioners appointed by the Governor and council to examine into the doings and transactions of the several incorporated Banks in this State by a Resolve passed March 6th 1826, made their report, which was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve for purchasing Hale’s Map of New England, came from the Senate passage refused, for concurrence & the House concurred.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve fixing the place for the meeting of the next Legislature of this State which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill establishing Circuit Courts Martial, was amended read a third time and then on motion indefinitely postponed sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Committee on the Pay Roll be directed to make up the amount for the attendance of members who have or may obtain leave of absence, including the day on which said members leave town – read & passed

Messrs Pease of Cornish & Houdlette of Dresden have leave leave of absence after Saturday next during the remainder of the session.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed

Bill – revoking the Charter of the Kennebec Bank

-to incorporate the Proprietors of the Falls Sluice way

-to incorporate the Kennebec Agricultural Society

which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence

Bill – to save costs in the collection of debts was read a third time and indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.
