Messrs Robbins of Union Page of Readfield & Manston of Machiasport have leave of absence after today during the remainder of the session.

Resolve authorizing the Governor to commission William French to solemnize Marriage among the Indians came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote refusing this Resolve a passage - the House recede from their former votes s o far as to concur with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of James Irish, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill further prescribing the duties of Sheriffs, came from the Senate that today adhering to their vote postponing this Bill indefinitely - The House recede from their former votes & concur with the Senate

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this house the Bill respecting Lotteries - read & passed.

Bill to incorporate the Schoodic River Log Company was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve providing for the establishment of Libraries, and the promotion of education, came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature - The House recede so far as to concur with the Senate & order the Resolve & Preamble to be published in the Eastern Argus for the information of the public. Sent up for concurrence.
