[Bill to divide the State into Districts for Representatives]

Bill to divide the State into Districts for the choice of Representatives to Congress, and prescribing the mode of elections, which had passed to be engrossed and sent down for concurrence, came up with amendments in the second and eighth sections: The Senate concur with the House in their amendments in the second section, but nonconcur in their amendment in the eighth section: sent down. -

Bill to change the name of the Town of Putnam; and Bill to incorporate Froxcroft Academy, having been passed to be engrossed and sent down for concurrences came up concurred. -

[Reports on Petitions]

Mr. Bond from the Committee, on the petition of Joseph Bailey, reported that he have leave to withdraw his petition: Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence: came up concurred. -

Mr. Bond from the same Committee, on the petitions of Miller Chamberland, and of Daniel M. Christie, reported that they severally have leave to bring in a Resolve: Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. -

Bill additional to an act to incorporate the Trustees of the Gardiner Lyceum, was read a second time and ordered to lie on the Table. - Resolve
