The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed Bills - to incorporate Anson Academy - additional to an act directing the method of laying out and making provision for the repair & amendment of Highways - additional to an act to incorporate the Kennebec Steam Navigation Company - to provide for the erection & government of a State prison - to incorporate the Maine Stage Company - repealing an act to regulate the taking of Fish called Alewives in the town of Boothbay - to incorporate Oriental Star Lodge - respecting the returns of votes for Representatives in Districts - were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence

[Resolves]

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolves - to ascertain the number of deaf & dumb persons in this State. - correcting the valuation of Washington & Somerset Counties - for the admission of Josiah Hacker to practice law in the Court of Common Pleas" - in favor of Benjamin J Porter - respecting claims assigned to this State by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts - authorizing the sale of State Lands and for other purposes were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
