Met according to adjournment. Journal read.

[Bill - Min. & Sch. Lands]

Bill, from the Senate, respecting the sale of Ministerial & School lands, came down referred to the next Legislature & ordered to be printed in the Newspapers in Portland, for concurrence & the House concurred.

[Resolve - paying Chaplains]

Resolve granting compensation to the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, which passed this House 7th inst. came from the Senate amended by adding a provision for the payment of the Chaplain of the Senate for concurrence and the House concurred.

[Resolve - to pay Messengers]

Resolve in favor of the Messengers of the Legislature & certain other persons - was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Committee - loan to defray expenses of Government -]

On motion of Mr Adams, Ordered that Messrs Adams of P. Prentiss and Morrill, be a committee for the purpose of taking into consideration the expediency of effecting a loan to defray the expense of erecting a State prison - read & passed.

[Bill - additional - CCP.]

Bill, an act additional to an act to establish a Court of Common Pleas, which passed this House 8th instant came from the Senate with amendments for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Committee ordered to make up Pay Roll -]

Ordered that the committee on the Pay Roll be instructed to make up the Pay Roll of the members who have not obtained leave of absence including tomorrow - read & passed.
