Reports on the petitions of Amos Knight & als of Nathaniel Spooner & al of Aaron Mason granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Benjamin James & al - ordering notice came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

Report on the petition of the town of Albion, was accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Abiathan Austin & als Proprietors of Canton Point Bridge, for a grant of land to aid them in building said bridge came from the Senate referred to the committee on Turnpikes act for concurrence - and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Parsons & Washburne with such as the House may join a committee to consider the expediency of passing a law declaring all freshwater rivers public Highways for certain purposes- also the expediency of empowering the ourt of Sessions to cause to be made for the use of the public, sluice or passage ways for rafts of lumber, boats ect through dams now erected on which may be here after erected, at the expense of the petitioners proprietors or the county, at the discretion of said Court - and the House concurred & Messrs Evans of Gardiner Neal of Litchfield and Roberts of Waterboro were joined

Resolve for the benefit of Waterville College, was taken up & an amendment adopted on motion of Smith of Newfield & then the Resolve was laid on the table- Mr Smith of Nobleboro; gave notice that at ten oclock tomorrow he should move a reconsideration of the vote amending said Resolve- Adjourned.
