Reports of the committee on the order respecting further provisions to secure dwelling Houses from fire- - on the order respecting an amendment of the law for the regulation of Inholders, Retailers ect- -on the order, respecting allowing Clerks to Registers of Deeds & remitting the 17 cents required of Registers ect - on the order respecting a repeal of the Act of March 7. 1826 exempting certain goods from attachment- -on the order, respecting an amendment of the law for taxing owners & tenants of unimproved lands living without the State. that legislation on those subject are inexpedient, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Samuel Shaw & als, referring the subject to the next Legislature, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petitions of Nathaniel Noyes & al & report there on taken from the last years files -

   of Ephm Small & als to be incorporated as a Religious Society-
   of Asa Lassell & als that Nath Noyes & als maybe annexed to Unity came from the Senate, severally accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire what alterations, if any, it would be expedient to make, in an act entitled "An act to enable the Proprietors of Social, Military and Law Libraries to manage the same, with leave ect - and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the Bangor Pier Corporation was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in a new draft. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Ruggles & als to be incorporated by the name of the Thomaston Mutual Fire Insurance Company, was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for conveyance.
