Mr. Scamman from the Committee appointed to employ some suitable person to draft Bills and Resolves &c. for the members of the Legislature, the present session, reported that they had employed William B. Sewall Read and accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Dunlap from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, on the petition of Isaac Lane and others, reported a Bill, which was read a first time and Tuesday next, 10 oclock in the forenoon assigned for a second reading.

Petition of Timothy Fergurson, referred in the House, to the Committee on the Judiciary came up for concurrence, was read, and the Senate nonconcur with the House in their reference and refer the same to the Committee who have under consideration that part of the Governor's message relating to Internal Improvements, Sent down for concurrence Came up concurred.

On motion by Mr. Parsons Ordered, that the Secretary of State cause to be printed a number of copies of all the acts of this state in relation to the education of youth, sufficient to furnish each school Districts with three copies of the Constitution of this State, and of the United States, to the Selectmen of the several Towns and Assessors of the several Plantations within this State. Sent down for concurrence Came up concurred.
