[Committee of the whole on Bill granting a Lottery in Cumberland & Oxford Canal]

On motion of Mr. McDonald the Senate went into a Committee of the whole, Mr. Green in the Chair, upon the passage of the Bill, granting a Lottery for the benefit of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal, to be engrossed; and after much deliberation upon the merits of the Bill, the Committee rose and reported that the same ought to pass. - The question was then taken by yeas and nays on the passage of the Bill to be engrossed, as amended, and was decided in the affirmative as fellow as follows, viz.
