The Committee on the petition of Anthony Fernald & als reported a Bill - report accepted.

Bill to repeal certain provisions of an act additional to an act respecting the Inspection of Beef, Pork, Butter & Lard & for other purposes - read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d Reading.

The Committee on the subject of revising the laws respecting Houses of Correction - reported a Bill - report accepted.

Bill additional to an act respecting Houses of Correction & for suppressing & punishing rogues, vagabonds, common beggars & other idle & disorderly persons - was read 1 & 2d time & tomorrow at 10' oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

The Committee appointed to examine the Bond of the Treasurer reported that the same is in due form and that the sureties are sufficient and that the same be approved - The report accepted in Senate came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate appointing Messrs Stebbins and Scammon with such as the House may join a committee to consider what provision ought to be made to prevent or punish frauds in the management of the business of Banks and of public Officers and legal trusts for concurrence - and the House concurred and Messrs Richardson of Portland, Wingate of Bath & Dunn of Poland were joined.
