Joshua Hall 47 John Balkam 1 Joseph Shaw was then declared duly elected by the Presi dent of the Senate

Messrs Washburn. Megquier, Vance, Emerson & MItchell were appointed a committee to receive, sort and count the votes for supplying the deficiency in Washington District who having attended that duty, reported that the whole num ber of votes given was 159 Neccesary to constitute an election 80 John Balkam had 105 Ichabod Bucknam 49 Joshua Balkam 1 Joshua Bucknam 1 Joshua Hall 1 John Balkam was by the President of the Senate declared duly elected ad the Convention separated.

In Senate[bold] on motion by Mr Cutler Ordered that the Secretary of State shall notify Joseph Shaw Esq of Thorndike in the Dis trict of Hancock and John Balknam of Robbinston in the District of Washignton that they have severally been elected by a convention of both Houses of the Legislature, this day, Senators of the State of Maine the current po litical year and request their immediate attendance at the Senate Board. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
