Petition of Martin Lincoln for authority to sell certain lands was read, and in concurrence with the House, referred to the Committee on the Judiciary
Petition of Betsey Randall for a divorce from her husband was read, and referred to Messrs Prime and Pond with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred and Messrs Parker Cobb and Snow were joined.
The Secretary of State, came in and laid on the table a written message from the Governor transmitting a copy of a resolution of the General Assembly of Tennessee, Copies of sundry Resolutions of the Legislature of New Jersey and a Copy of a Resolution of the Legislature of Connecticut and the message was read and with the accompanying Documents sent down
Mr. Francis from the Committee on Parishes &c on the petitions of Caleb Gilman and others, Aaron Austin and others, and of Daniel Harriman and others, reported leave for Bills, Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence, Came up concurred.
Mr. Prime from the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, on the petition of the Town of Hiram reported an order that the Petitioners cause an attested copy of their petition and order thereon to be published in the Eastern Argus' a paper printed in Portland there weeks successively the last publication to be thirty days, at least, before the first session of the next legislature, that all persons interested may then appear and show cause, if any they have why
