Ordered that Messrs Eveleth of Windham, Richardson of Portland and Blaney of Bristol be a committee to consider the expediency of reducing to the net or decimal hundred, or tale, all articles which are now bought, sold or exchanged by the gross hundred or tale throughout the State - read and passed.

Bill in addition to an act establishing and regulating the fees of the several officers and other persons therein named, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to the several acts now in force to organize, govern & discipline the Militia of this State, was read a 3d time, amended and passed to be engrossed. The question decided by yeas and nays as follows- Yeas 63. Nays 60. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve appropriating certain lands to create a fund to meet the expenses incident to the Militia - (reported by the joint committee on subject) was read and passage refused in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill imposing fines on towns neglecting to choose Representatives was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence
