Report on the petition of Joseph Williamson & als granting leave for a Bill, was called up & after much discussion refused acceptance in concurrence with the Senate - Mr Shaw moved a reconsideration of the last vote and tomorrow at 10 oclock was assigned to consider the motion.

Bill to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine, reported in a new draft was taken up - Mr McCobb moved to strike out the present title and substitute the words "The Hospital of Brunswick" which motion prevailed - Mr Low moved a reconsideration of the last vote and 3 oclock this afternoon was assigned to consider the motion.

Adjourned until 1/2 past 2 oclock this afternoon.

Bill establishing a Police Court in the Town of Portland, was called up and referred tot Messrs Adams of Portland, Wingate of Bath and Chase of Kittery.

Bill in addition to the several acts now in force respecting Workhouses and Houses of Correction & for suppressing & punishing rogues, vagabonds, common beggars & other idle or disorderly persons - was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in a New draft. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on petition of I. B. Quimby & als, granting leave for a Bill, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the Maine Iron Company, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Mr Fogg of Montville had leave of absence after Saturday next.
