Mr. Churchill from the Committee to whom was referred the "Bill to incorporate the Kennebec and Androscoggin Canal association reported the same with amendments and now the Senate recommit the Bill to Messrs Holland, Williams and Francis.

Mr. Stebbins from the Committee on the Judiciary, on the petitions of Casco, Merchants, Union and Vassalborough Banks, that the names of said corporations may be changed reported "Bill to change the names of certain Banks, which was read a first time and committed to Messrs Williams, Dunlap and Churchill.

Mr. Williams from the Committee, reported the "Bill to change the names of certain Banks, with amendments so as to include the Thomaston and Manufacturers banks and the same was read a second time and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence

On motion by Mr Williams, Ordered that after this day the Senate will hold two sessions daily except on Saturdays the afternoon session to commence at half past two oclock.
