Mr. Churchill from the Committee on Engrossed Bills, reported the following to be truly copied viz. Bill additional for the regulation of the Penobscot and Passamaquoddy tribes of Indians, and the same was passed to be enacted and also Resolve in favor of Samuel Foss and the same was finally passed.

Afternoon, Resolve in favor of Bowdoin College came back from the House, passage refused and the Senate reconsider their former vote and refer the same to the next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred

Mr. Scamman from the Select Committee to inquire and report what business is necessary to be acted upon the present session and when the Legislature may have a recess, reported that sundry Bills and Resolves of a public and private nature are now in progress, and several Reports, petitions and orders are in the hands of Committees which may require the deliberation of the Legislature until Tuesday the twenty eighth day of February instant, at twelve oclock. Mr. Williams from the Committee on the Governor's message and the petition of the Attorney General reported a Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote and the same was read a first time and tomorrow, at 10 oclock, assigned for a second reading.
