[1824] [January 13.] Special Message of the 10th Inst. Sent down for concurrence, came up concurred and Messrs. Isaac Adams, Quinnam, & Hill were joined.

[Com: on the Act to prevent costs] On motion of Mr. Chandler, ordered that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing an Act in addition to an Act entitled an Act to prevent unnecessary costs, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred.

[Pet. Herman Nye] Petition of Herman Nye for an allowance in consequence of a wound received while on Military duty, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Application of Sick and wounded Soldiers. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.

[Com. on personal property assigned by Massachusetts] Order of the House that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the personal property assigned by Massachusetts to Maine, be referred to Messrs. Williams, Parsons and Tuttle, with such as the Senate may join, came up for concurrence, was read, concurred and Messrs. Whitney and Usher were joined.

[Com: on Laws regulating repeals] Order of the House that the Joint Standing Committee on New Trials be instructed to take into consideration, what alteration, if any, are necessary in the laws regulating appeals, with leave to report by bill or otherwise, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred.

[Pet. John McClure & als] Petition of John McClure and others, to be set off from Swanville and annexed to Waldo Plantation, was taken from the files and referred to the Committee on the Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.
