201 Mr. Kavanagh had leave to lay on the table Resolve in favor of Charles S. Davies, and the same was read once, ordered to a second reading, again read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to change the names of certain prisons was read once ordered to a second reading, again read and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Mr. Wasburn had leave to lay on the table Resolve providing compensation for certain officers, and the same was read once, ordered to a second at 1/2 past 3 o clock this afternoon and committed to Messrs. Washburn, Dennett + Shaw.

Resolve to authorize the Treasurer of State to dispose of certain articles was read and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Mr. Megquier from the Conferees upon the disagreement of the two Houses in relation to the bill entitled" An Act additional to an Act concerning the assessment and collection of taxes reported that they had been unable to agree with the Conferees on the part of the House, and recommend that the Senate adhere to their former vote. Read + accepted and the Senate voted to adhere accordingly.

Bill regulating the practice of Physic and Surgery was read once 1/2 past 3 o clock this afternoon assigned for a second reading and committed to Messrs. Grover, Sweat and Mace.

On motion by Mr. Dennett, Ordered that when the Senate adjourn they adjourn to meet again this afternoon at 3 o clock
