[message to the Govr. & Council informing theme of quorum] The members elect were called to order by Mr Cushman. Mr Page was charged with a message to the Governor and Council informing them that a quorum of the members elect of the Senate were present and ready to be qualified and the Governor was pleased to say that he would meet the members elect of the senate in the Representatives Chamber at 11 o clock for the purpose of administering the constitutional oaths to qualify them to enter upon the discharge of their duties.

R. concerning being qualified] A message was received from the members elect of the House of Representatives by Mr Holmes that a quorum of that branch of the Legislature were present and would accommodate the Senators with seats in their chamber at eleven o clock this forenoon for the purpose of taking the oaths required by the constitution - Mr Cutler was charged with a message concurring in the proposition.


[members of Senate & H.R. qualified] At eleven o clock the Members elect of the Senate repaired to the Representatives Chamber when the Governor and Council came in and administered to the Members the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter up the discharge of the duties of their office [President elected]
