Met according to adjournment

Message from the Senate by Mr Low their Secretary. Mr Speaker The Senate have voted to hold but one session each day after tomorrow, to commence at half past nine o'clock in the morning.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of establishing Salaries to the Clerks of Courts and Registers of Probate in the several Counties in this state, and to establish the fees to said Officers where they are not already by law established - also to consider the expediency of exempting all estates from Probate fees whose inventory shall not exceed the sum of ___ dollars, with leave to report to &c. and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Scammon & Churchill with such as the House may join, a committee to take into consideration the expediency of altering an act entitled an act authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal Corporation passed February 10 1824 and an act additional thereto passed February 10 1824, an act for the prevention of Lotteries not authorized by law and to prohibit the sale or purchase of tickets in this State passed March 15, 1821 and an act additional thereto passed February 10 1823 and likewise to take into consideration the expediency of laying a duty upon venders of Lottery Tickets - and the House concurred & Messrs Boutelle of Waterville, Slemmons of Westbrook and Hastings of Bethel were joined.

Mr
