Met according to adjournment.

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses assembled in convention in the Representatives Chamber for the purpose of choosing a Counsellor from Lincoln District to supply the place of Ebenezer Farley who declined accepting - The whole number of votes given in was one hundred & sixty two, - necessary to constitute a choice, eighty two, - David Crowell had seventy eight - Ebenezer Herrick forty two - Jonathan Thayer forty - Mr. Crowell one & Stephen Parsons one.

No person having the requisite majority the convention proceeded to take a second ballot - The whole number given in on a second ballot was one hundred & sixty one - necessary to constitute an election eighty one. David Crowell of Whitfield had eighty eight and was duly elected
