Bill for the further improvement & preservation of Highways was read once & next Thursday next at eleven o clock assigned for a 2 reading.

Bill repealing part of an act to incorporate Anson Academy & reviving the residue, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed with amendments as on sheet annexed marked B. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill regulating attachments on real estate, reported by the joint select committee on that subject in this House was read 1st & 2nd time & Thursday next at 11 o clock assigned for a 3rd reading & 250 copies thereof ordered to be printed for the use of the Legislature.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to notify the Governor & Council that Elias Thomas of Portland has been elected Treasurer of State for the current year, has accepted the office and given bond to the satisfaction of the Legislature - and the House concurred.
