A communication from the Governor addressed to the President of the Senate transmitting a copy of the Report made by the Board of Officers appointed pursuant to the Act entitled an Act making further provisions concerning the Militia, passed the twenty third day of February last came down from the Senate, referred with the accompanying papers to the Committee on Militia & Military affairs for concurrence. - and the House concurred.
Bill to incorporate the Somerset Mutual Fire Insurance Company, laid on the table by Mr. Alden of Norridgewock on leave first obtained, was read once and referred to the committee on Banks & Banking. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill to prevent destruction by Crows, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a third reading.
Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Dead River Bridge was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3rd reading.
Bill to annex part of the town of Surry to the town of Ellsworth, was read 1st & 2nd time and the further consideration thereof postponed until Wednesday next at eleven o clock.
Bill to annex part of Patricktown plantation to the town of Jefferson was read 1st & 2nd times & tomorrow at ten o clock assigned for a 3rd reading.
Report on petition of Joshua Swett & als, granting leave to withdraw came down accepted in Senate for concurrence. - & the House concurred.
