The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill - additional act respecting the Winthrop Bank - authorizing the town of Bath a tax on owners of Dogs - repealing part of an act to incorporate Anson Academy & reviving the residue. - in addition to an act authorizing the reduction of the Capital Stock of the Waterville Bank, which; were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Swan of Portland, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire into the expediency of amending the Law passed Feby 7th 1828 defining the powers of the Judicial Courts, granting reviews of Judgments rendered upon petitions for partition & read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill repealing part of an act to establish Damariscotta Canal reported with amendments which were adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Thomas Cunningham & al referred the same to the next Legislature came down accepted in Senate for concurrence - and the House nonconcurred & thereupon on motion it was ordered that the petitioners have leave to withdraw. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr. McCobb of Phippsburg moved a reconsideration of the vote of yesterday, postponing indefinitely the Resolve to promote the publication of a General History of this State and the same was considered by the House, but no vote was taken thereon until the hour assigned for other business arrived and the order of the day called for.

Bill in addition to the several acts for the regulation of Inholders, Retailers & common Victuallers, reported by the committee on Bills in the third reading with an amendment which
