Bill to inspect the Franklin Bank, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Report on the petition of John P. Hunter & als granting leave for a Bill, came down accepted in Senate with an amendment for concurrence. The House nonconcurred with the Senate in their proposed amendment and accepted the report of the committee as made with an amendment. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Herrick of Lewiston, Ordered that the Clerk of the House cause to be printed for the use of the Legislature three hundred copies, of the Memorial of Prentiss Mellen & Nathan Weston Junr praying for an increase of their Salaries - read & passed.

On motion of Mr. Hubbard of Shapleigh, Ordered, That the House will hold sessions each day after Monday next commencing at half past nine o'clock in the morning and half past two o'clock in the afternoon until the close of the session, excepting on Saturdays one session each day to commence at half past nine o'clock in the morning - read & passed.

On motion of Mr. Carpenter of Howland, Ordered, That the committee on Claims be instructed to inquire whether Ira Fish, Joseph Treat, Alfred Gates & Joshua Carpenter have any just claim for pay for services on the Madawaska Road or money expended on said Road with leave to report &c &c - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
