141 time & tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a third reading.

Resolve, authorizing the Governor to cause a Gun House to be erected in Farmington, laid on the table by Mr. Belcher of Farmington on leave obtained, was read once & referred to the committee on Militia & Military Affairs. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr. Shapleigh of Berwick, Ordered, That Messrs. Shapleigh of Berwick, Williams of Augusta & Mowry of Lubec be a committee, with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that no member of the Legislature or of the Council during the term for which he shall been elected, receive or be appointed to any appointment or situation of profit under this State, which shall have been created on the emoluments of which increased during such term - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve providing for an examination into t he affairs of the State Prison, laid on the table by Mr. Sanborne or Limerick on leave obtained, was read once & referred to Messrs. Selden of Norridgwock, Dole of Alna & Powers of Sandford.

Bill in addition to an act to incorporate the Schoodic River Log Company was read 1st & 2nd time & Wednesday next at 10 o'clock assigned for a third reading.
