Met according to adjournment

On motion of Mr. Robinson of Vassalboro, Ordered, That the committee on Manufactures be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for the inspection of Sole leather manufactured in this State - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill for the preservation of Muskrat, came down , the Senate adhering to their former vote passing the Bill to be engrossed - the House adhere to their vote of 9th inst., postponing the same indefinitely.

Messrs. Fisk of Fayette Belcher of Farmington Hyde of Freeport } have leave of absence after today during the remainder of the session.

Mr. Tucker of Saco has leave of absence after today during the remainder of the week.

Bill in addition to an act to incorporate the President, Directors & Company of the Vassalborough Bank, was read a third time and passage refused.

The House resumed the consideration of the report of the committee to contract for the Job Printing for the State, the question before the House being on the passage of the following order reported by said committee - viz Ordered, That the Secretary of State , Secretary of the Senate & Clerk of the House of Representatives be directed to employ Messrs. Day & Fraser of Portland in the County of Cumberland to do the necessary printing for the State, and such as may be ordered by either House of the Legislature until
