Report on petition of Amos Fletcher & als, granting an order of notice, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Ordered that the committee on finance take from the amount as set to the town of Surry in the tax of last year the sum of sixty three dollars and eighty five cents and add the same to the town of Ellsworth in the tax act of the present years - read & passed.

On motion of Mr. Lowry of Lubec, Ordered that the committee on State Lands inquire whether there be any agents that have not rendered an account of their agency, and whether they hold property belonging to the State unaccounted for - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - an additional act respecting Sheriffs, was taken up & amended, and then on motion referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up fr=or concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill to annex part of the town of China to the town of Vassalboro - - to incorporate the Eastern Stage Company -

- incorporating the Waldo Agricultural Society - 

which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed Resolve in favor of Edward Williams

- in favor of Joshua Hathaway

which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an act to establish a Court of Common Pleas, was read 1st & 2d time & Thursday next at 10 o'clock assigned for a third reading & 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the Legislature.
