254 A message was received from the Senate, informing the House that they have voted to adjourn without day, when they next adjourn.
On motion of Mr. Appleton of Alfred, Ordered that when this House next adjourn, it will adjourn without day - read & passed.
Report on the petition of James Means & als granting leave to withdraw, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.
The Committee appointed to wait on the Governor & inform him that the Legislature have passed upon all the public business and to inquire of him if he has any further communication to make to them at the present session, reported that they have attended to the duties assigned them, and that the Governor was pleased to say he would forthwith communicate to them by message.
The Secretary of State came in & informed the House of Representatives that the Governor has approved one hundred & six - Acts and fifty eight Resolves, being all that have been presented to him for signature & approval the present session, and that he has no further communication to make to either branch of the Legislature at the present session.
Mr. Pond of Bucksport laid upon the Clerk's table the following Order, which being read by the Clerk, was unanimously passed, viz Ordered, That the thanks of this House be presented to the Hon. George Evans, Speaker, for the correctness & ability with which the substance of his duties in that highly responsible station have been performed, and for the impartiality and dignity in the manner of their performance - and
