Met according to adjournment.

Bill – concerning Lotteries and Lottery Tickets, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve for the admission of William Goodenow to practise [practice] law in the Court of Common Pleas & for other purposes, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed for concurrence, and the House concurred.

Bill – authorizing a Lottery for improving the Navigation of the Kennebec River, reported with amendments which were adopted, was passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Messrs Hazeltine of Searsmont – Dyer of Vinalhaven have leave of absence after today.

Resolve authorizing the appointment of Commissioners of internal improvement, laid upon the table by Mr Longfellow of Portland having first obtained leave of the House for that purpose, was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – to establish the Kennebec & Androscoggin Canal Association, was called up and amended by inserting at the end of the sixth section, the words contained on slip marked V. and then read a second time. Mr Alden of Brunswick moved a reference of the subject to the next Legislature and that the Bill be published in the papers that publish the laws of the State – but before the question was taken the House,
