Mr Perkins of Topsham has leave of absence after today.

Resolve, requesting the Governor to make application to the Secretary of War for the services of a Topographical Engineer in this State, laid on the table by Mr Evans of Gardiner, was referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – an additional act for the relief of Poor Debtors, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill – an additional act respecting the Hallowell & Augusta Bank was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill – establishing the times of holding the Court of Sessions in Penobscot County, came from the Senate amended for concurrence – and the House passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill – to incorporate the Bath Public Library, came from the Senate passed to be engrossed for concurrence as in new draft - and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Elijah Butler Junr, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Petition of S. & C. Merrill for payment for powder furnished the State Arsenal, was read and referred to the committee on Accounts. Sent up for concurrence.
