A communication was received from the Secretary of State in the following words,
"Office of Secretary of State Portland February 9th 1850 Sir, I have the honor to transmit herewith a copy of the return of the Sheriffs fees by the Treasurer of Kennebec County, which should have been communicated to the House of Representatives, with similar returns from other Counties this morning, but was accidentally mislaid.
