A communication was received from James Irish, Land Agent, transmitting a report of his doings since the meeting of the last Legislature, and his account as reported by the Auditor, which were referred in concurrence with the Senate, to the Committee on State Lands. - and thereupon it was Ordered, that the Clerk cause three hundred copies there of to be printed for the use of the members of the House.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the petition of Isaac Dore & others & accompanying papers, presented at the last Legislature, praying for a survey of the line between the States of Maine & New Hampshire - read & passed. Sent up.

Ordered that Messrs Robbins of Union, Herrick of Lewiston & Mitchell of North Yarmouth be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of altering or revising the law as it respects the repair of highways - read & passed.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the petition of the Inhabitants of Lewiston praying to be annexed to the County of Cumberland. - read & passed.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson their Secretary, informing the House that the Senate had on their part elected Thomas Todd, State Printer, for
